Tony Leung has no intentions to be a father
The 50-year-old Hong Kong actor does not have any baby plans despite being married for almost five years now
Hong Kong's golden couple has no plans to have children. Tony Leung responded to recent speculations sparked by his portrayal as a doting father (in his latest action movie, The Grandmaster) and firmly replied, "I don't have intentions to become one [a father]."
Rumour has it that the veteran actor and wife, actress Carina Lau have been desperately trying to conceive a child since they got married in 2008. It is believed that the couple gave up on baby plans after several failed attempts.
They had reportedly travelled to New Delhi, India to visit His Holiness, the Gyalwa Karmapa to seek his blessings for a successful pregnancy in 2011.
According to reports, Carina previously underwent artificial insemination and consulted celebrity good friends, Faye Wong and Hong Kong actress Sandra Ng on their "secret formula" to conceive, but to no avail.
The 47-year-old commented during an event recently, "Tony and I are comfortable with our current status. We'll just let nature take its course."<
